Okay, this is confusing. Shakira’s boyfriend/babyfather is a European football player for Barcelona. Barcelona has a rivalry with Milan, a team they beat spectacularly (or whatever spectacularly means when you’re talking about soccer) yesterday. Their baby, pictured here in his tiny jersey before the game, is named Milan, which makes rooting against your rival suddenly really awkward.
They should’ve just gone ahead and named him Barcelona.
Not exactly shocking news: Shakira’s baby is cute. Actually, right now, he’s pretty Nondescript Cute Baby, so call me when he has Shakira’s crazy-curly hair.
Shakira gave birth today in Spain, to a son named Milan Piqué Mebarak. Fun fact: Shakira and Gerard have the same birthday (February 2), and I bet they are really irritated that their baby wouldn’t wait eleven more days. I would be.
Eh, I bet he is pretty cute, though.
