As you may have been aware, the Beckhams were considering a move to Paris, where Mr. Beckham was offered a spot on the Paris Saint Germain soccer team. He’s turned down the offer and opted to stay in Los Angeles, about which I have mixed feelings.
On the one hand, I would have been extremely jealous, as it is my dream to live as an American expat in France — like Gertrude Stein, but with better hair.
But on the other, I believe I could have survived my jealousy if it meant having Harper Beckham out of my territory. (By which I mean not only Los Angeles, but also the continent.)
